Justin Yost

Justin completed a Bachelor of Information Systems degree at the University of Tasmania in 2003 and a Bachelor of Archaeology degree at La Trobe University in 2007.Justin then completed his BA (Honours) in Archaeology at La Trobe University in 2012.  He is an experienced and skilled field archaeologist with over 10 years practical experience of surveying and excavating sites throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.  Justin has supervised and worked on numerous private and government projects of varying degrees of complexity and scale, in both Historical and Indigenous archaeology.

Justin’s expertise and interest is in the mapping of cultural landscapes, stone-tool analysis, open site salvages and Aboriginal engagement.  Justin is a fully qualified ‘Heritage Advisor’ as specified in the requirements of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
