Linda Sonego

Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) with a major in Archaeology (2002), a Masters Degree in Cultural Heritage Management (2012) and is close to completing her PhD in Archaeology at La Trobe University.

She is a skilled field archaeologist and since 2002 her experience has included working on a broad range of sites, from Indigenous and historical sites in Victoria and Tasmania, to medieval and classical sites in Italy. She also has experience working in international museums such as The Uffizi Gallery in Florence and the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, where she assisted in curating exhibitions, cleaning and managing exhibit pieces, and restoring damaged artefacts.

Linda’s diverse experience in archaeology and cultural heritage management has allowed her to develop a range of skills including excavation, site surveying, site recording, artefact identification and preservation, original research, and a strong working knowledge of relevant Acts and Regulations.
