Erica Walther is a Senior Archaeologist and Heritage Advisor. She specialises in project management, community liaison and the resolution of cultural heritage issues in varying situations. Erica completed a Bachelor of Archaeology with Honours at La Trobe University in 2007. Since completing her degree, Erica has worked on archaeological surveys and excavations throughout Victoria and has also worked on projects in New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania. Erica has experience managing both historical and Aboriginal heritage assessments, including conducting and supervising surface surveys and sub-surface excavations.
Erica has broad experience completing Due Diligence Assessments and Cultural Heritage Management Plans. Erica regularly carries out cultural heritage inductions, salvages and other compliance requirements. She has also completed Heritage Impact Assessments, “Consents to Disturb” and other permit applications and heritage reports including Conservation Management Plans. Erica has also assisted on a broad range of other heritage projects including as an expert witness and with planning and overlay applications. Erica is a fully qualified ‘Heritage Advisor’ as specified in the requirements of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. Erica is a full member of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists Inc. (AACAI).
