Jamie Rooney

Jamie graduated from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2017 with a Master of Arts (Hons) of the first class in history and archaeology, specialising in conflict and battlefield archaeology. Working primarily in Scotland, Jamie has experience in a wide range of archaeological projects including the excavation of Scottish Iron Age Hill forts; Bronze Age human burials; and Roman Era structures.

Prior to moving to Australia, Jamie was employed in a research and community outreach role for a largescale, 5-year, experimental archaeology project. He has worked in a variety of roles within the museum sector, most notably in Glasgow’s Hunterian Museum where he was involved in exhibition management, public outreach, and team management.
