Ciana Scarff

Senior Heritage Advisor

Ciana Scarff holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Ancient World Studies from the University of Melbourne (2020) and a Master of Professional Archaeology from La Trobe University (2022). Her tertiary studies focused on both Aboriginal Australian archaeology and Australian built heritage management. Ciana has also won and been a high-ranking finalist for several historical research awards, including the Tasmanian Premier’s 2015 Magna Carta Essay Award and the University of Melbourne’s 2019 International Museums and Collections Award.

Ciana has over five years’ experience working as an archaeologist and heritage advisor in Victoria. She has successfully managed a variety of projects including Cultural Heritage Management Plans, Cultural Heritage Permits, heritage consents and permits (state and local), archaeological site registrations, and due diligence assessments. These range from smaller-scale developments to complex state-wide projects.

Ciana is a fully qualified Heritage Advisor as per the requirements of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
