Archaeological Site Monitoring

Some project approvals require that archaeologists be engaged to monitor construction activity while it is in progress.

The purpose of this archaeological monitoring is to ensure that construction can proceed with as little interruption as possible, while preventing harm to any archaeological resources which may be discovered during the course of the works.

ACHM archaeologists understand the pressures of construction sites, and rapidly respond to any issue so as to ensure time and budget constraints are not compromised.
